Photography is the art of telling stories writing with light. This actually is the meaning given by the etymology of the word:the word "photography" was created from the Greek roots φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light".

In our tours in Rome it will not be difficult to find, in particular places and at particular times, the actual and perfect example of such concept: when light, going to shine on a specific subject, defines its deepest meaning, its true being, its most intimate way to relate with the world around.

This photo, taken in Saint Ignatius church, tells a whole story through the way a beam of light descends on an innocent child in the act of praying, while the rest of the environment around him is still in darkness. A metaphor of life?
