17. This is Pantheon…. and the crowd around it

Updated: Mar 20, 2020

By www.romephotofuntours.com This is Pantheon , the best preserved ancient Roman building, completed in 126 AD by emperor Adrian. Around it a huge crowd of mesmerized people. What you see is how you will normally experience it in most hours of the day during the warm seasons in Rome, basically: fall, spring and summer. Here, in Piazza della Rotonda, there is a lot happening everyday: street artists, great people having fun, good coffee and ice-creams, and over all, of course, the beauty of one of the oldest and most spectacular buildings/monuments in Rome. Inside the Pantheon, a real example of history and architecture in progress, are buried the famous painter Raphael and two kings of Italy: Vittorio Emanuele II (the first king of unified Italy) and his son King Umberto I. But one of the most incredible features of the building is its round dome with a perfectly circular hole in the middle. So this square is an amazing place to be during the day and in the evening if you enjoy people, history, art, food…. in one Life. So, if you want to take great street photography shots you should not miss my Rome by day tours, while if you want to have clean shots of the Pantheon with no people around, you should book a very early morning tour or a night one. In this way you will enjoy the view of Rome at its best, like only true Romans do.
